Nicolas Mora, born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1967, is a master of the guitar, and an accomplished bandoneonist. Playing electric and acoustic guitars, his music encompasses modern sounds, while the Uruguayan folkloric flavors of candombe, milonga, murga and tango are ever-present in his playing. As a gifted composer he fuses these styles, all of which translates into music that is fresh and interesting. Nico's music takes
twists and turns, never leaving you in one place for too long, while his melodic and harmonic sensibility makes his music easily digestable, full of passion, at times humorous, and always exciting.

It is so true that in this world of creativity music and other art forms travel down the same path, for instance; music and dance, music and theater, music and film. Throughout the years images of candombe have been a great subject matter for many Uruguayan painters, and have served as a wonderful source of inspiration to them. |
